A richly-experienced Technical Director/CIO, Project Manager, Senior IT Consultant and occasional Software Engineer. That experience includes 10+ years in Enterprise IT, 5 years in Enterprise Consulting, and 7 years with FinTech Start-Ups.
Much of his recent career has been about applying the principles of DevSecOps. Roles held include: Senior Architect, Technical Lead, Product Owner, Project Manager and Team Leader.
Worked within corporate Finance for several years before exploring other sectors. He joined projects in Assurance, Utilities, Insurance and Retail over a 3-year period. This career-phase lead to the role of Senior Solutions Architect for a global consultancy and therefore occupied with practice-strategy, account development, mentoring, team leadership and delivery.

More recently, has been involved with several Start-Ups. Each project has presented very different challenges and superficially they seem to have very little in common. These collective experiences have prompted reflection and to capture insights that he and others might benefit from. Contributes to the online discussion about the Start-Up experience.

Richard holds a Masters Degree in Computing Science.
